ABOUT THE ARTIST
About Tam the Tool Girl
As a young girl I used to watch my grandfather tinker around his garage creating beautiful paintings, carvings and Christmas villages out of wood. I was virtually his shadow, taking in everything he did and wanting to be able to do the same one day.

More than 15 years later my actual journey into woodworking finally began. It was spring of 2017, I could not find a decent patio sofa for a reasonable price; they were either affordable and poorly made (i.e. plastic) or well made and extremely expensive. After looking online for some woodworking plans I decided there was no reason I couldn't build what I was looking for and the rest was history.

Fast forward to today and I have remodeled my kitchen and front entry, made several pieces of furniture and have begun playing with resin to make beautiful pieces of art that combine wood and the ocean. I have a workshop that has completely taken over the garage (sorry honey!) and almost every tool imaginable. My next dream is to create tool tutorials to help anyone else that is wanting to learn how to use tools and help empower young woman.

I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do. Please follow Tam the Tool Girl* on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated with my latest projects and creations, and stop by One Boy One Girl in downtown Melbourne to check out some pieces I have for sale there.
